Plant extracts

Plant extracts refer to compounds isolated from plants using extraction processes such as supercritical CO2 extraction. Plants are grown in a manner that maximise the content of the  compound that is of interest according to the needs of the final product.

Examples of extracts that can be isolated from plants grown in our growing system include alkaloids, steroids, tannins, glycosides, volatile oils, phenols, and flavonoids. The uses for these compounds can be found in a range of industries and products such as medicine, functional food, beverages, cosmetics among others.

In the European market, plant extracts are used as key additives in the pharmaceutical  industry for therapeutic properties as preventive or curative. While, in the North American and Japanese markets, they are mainly used in nutritional supplements, health foods, cosmetics and other industries, and they are the core products of the natural health products market.

Our ongoing research is focused on developing novel biomarkers for herbal medicines. Through this work we continue to refine our effective, evidence-based case for precision medicine. Our R & D focuses on Omics-based methods to develop novel botanical ingredients and enhance their effects.

Combination of our knowledge and the latest research on the mechanisms of actions and efficancy of medicinal plants is the foundation for the production of our phytotherapeutic medicines.
